Igor Panchuk
Born in 1981, comes from Ukraine (Grycenko, Chmielnicka oblast). Certified artist and art conservator. In 2013, he graduated from the Lviv National Academy of Arts. He gained experience working on religious architecture and conserving works of easel painting. He has been creating his own paintings for 25 years.
By exploring the working methods of old masters such as Caravaggio, Velázquez and Vermeer, he learned techniques that he used to improve his own painting skills. For an artist, mastering the technique is a way to show feelings and imagination. In his paintings, he tries to combine classical and contemporary painting. Subdued colors and a specific way of painting make Igor Panchuk’s work intriguing and very original.
